Jays Farm usually known simply as Jays consists of a group of impressive stone barns and farmhouse dating from the mid 19th Century bordered by the River Carey, a tributary of the Tamar. A further restored cob barn attests to the presence of much earlier dwellings on the site.

Originally a farm of some 300 acres Jays was first the home of one Benjamin Bickle, his large family and domestic servants; it retains much of the atmosphere and charm of its history.

The enormous stone barn with its now fully restored Delabole slate roof and the stable barn, the subject too of sympathetic restoration, stand protectively alongside the simple elegant farmhouse .The surrounding pastures and woods are managed for the benefit of wildlife and to create a place of peace, tranquility, and beauty.

The 5 bedroom farmhouse is available for holiday rental throughout the year. Jays is also available for film and stills locations.
